Solarize North Portland is a volunteer-driven community effort led by North Portland Neighborhood Services in partnership with  Neighbors West-Northwest to bring renewable solar energy and the benefits of weatherization to North Portland homes, including residents of Arbor Lodge, Bridgeton, Cathedral Park, East Columbia, Hayden Island, Kenton, Overlook, Piedmont, Portsmouth, St. Johns, and University Park can participate in Solarize North Portland. The application period closed on May 15, 2011.

It’s not too late to get solar installed on your home. The cost of solar electricity (photovoltaic’s) has never been better, and Oregon has some of the best tax credits and cash incentives nation-wide.  Please see our Resources page to learn more.  Also feel free to contact Imagine Energy (503-477-9585), the contractor for Solarize North Portland, or visit the Energy Trust website to find qualified solar contractors.

For general information about solar energy, please visit the Solar Now website or visit Solar Oregon, a non-profit organization that partnered with Solarize Northwest. Solar Oregon provides education and resources to Oregonians looking to go solar.
