Energy Trust of Oregon is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to helping utility customers benefit from saving energy and tapping renewable resources. Energy Trust provides funding to reduce the upfront cost of installing a qualified home solar electric system. The amount of the cash incentive depends on a) the size of the solar electric system you install, and b) your electric utility. You may sign up for a Solar Energy Review through Energy Trust and also find qualified solar contractors.
Clean Energy Works Portland is a pilot program that is helping qualified Portland homes finance and install energy efficiency upgrades. The program offers homeowners access to low-cost financing for energy efficiency home improvements, like new insulation or the installation of a high efficiency furnace or water heater. To help decide which upgrades and financing options make sense, participants will receive the assistance of a qualified Energy Advocate throughout the process.
